The latest arrivals include highly rated young internationals, established players from across Europe and promising talents expected to make an immediate impact at their new clubs.
With the new campaign underway, attention will be on how quickly these players adapt to the pace and demands of the Premier League.
Here are 10 new Premier League players to watch during the 2026/27 season, as highlighted by the Premier League on Wednesday.
1.Johan Manzambi – Aston Villa
Manzambi was also recognised as the UEFA Europa League Young Player of the Season after playing a key role in Freiburg’s run to the final.
The talented midfielder will now be expected to help fill the gap left by Morgan Rogers, who departed the club for Chelsea.
2. Antonio Silva – Bournemouth
Bournemouth have strengthened their defence with the signing of highly rated Portuguese centre-back Antonio Silva from Benfica, as the club prepares for a new era under manager Marco Rose.
The 22-year-old defender is expected to play a key role in filling the void left by Marcos Senesi, who joined Tottenham Hotspur.
Silva already has considerable experience at the international level, having earned 20 senior caps for Portugal. He was also part of the Benfica squad that won the Portuguese league title in the 2022/23 season, further highlighting his experience and pedigree.
Former Premier League defender Abel Xavier has described him as a player with “security, maturity, game vision, assertiveness, aggression, and leadership”.
3. Mamadou Sangare – Brentford
Brentford have strengthened their midfield with the arrival of Mamadou Sangare, the club’s new record signing, following an impressive campaign with French side Lens.
The 24-year-old Mali international was one of the standout midfielders in Ligue 1 last season. His performances earned him the prestigious Marc-Vivien Foé Award, which recognises the best-performing African player in France’s top flight.
Sangare also impressed statistically, ranking second in Ligue 1 for tackles won and third for ground duels won last season.
However, his abilities extend beyond defensive work. He created 38 chances and averaged 1.2 successful dribbles per 90 minutes, highlighting his ability to contribute effectively at both ends of the pitch.
With his combination of defensive strength, ball-carrying ability and creativity, Sangare is expected to become an important player for Brentford this season.
4. Luka Vuskovic – Brighton
Croatian centre-back Luka Vuskovic is preparing for his first Premier League campaign with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 19-year-old defender joined Tottenham from Croatian club Hajduk Split before spending the 2025/26 season on loan with German side Hamburg.
Vuskovic enjoyed an impressive campaign in Germany, scoring six Bundesliga goals — the most by any defender in the league last season. His spectacular overhead kick was also voted the Bundesliga Goal of the Season.
At Brighton, Vuskovic is expected to help fill the defensive gap left by Jan Paul van Hecke, who moved to Tottenham.
With his impressive goalscoring record and attacking ability from defence, Vuskovic could quickly emerge as one of Brighton’s most exciting young players.
5. Caleb Yirenkyi – Coventry City
The 20-year-old joined Coventry from FC Nordsjaelland after an impressive campaign in Denmark, where he was named Young Player of the Year in the Danish Superliga.
Yirenkyi has already gained valuable international experience, earning 15 senior caps for Ghana.
He also made a memorable impact on his World Cup debut, scoring a stoppage-time winner against Panama.
With his youth, international experience and ability to produce decisive moments, Yirenkyi will be one of the young players to watch as Coventry City begins its new Premier League campaign.
He has also been compared with former Chelsea and Ghana midfielder Michael Essien, who worked with him as a coach at Nordsjaelland.
6. Hayden Hackney – Everton
Everton have strengthened their midfield with the signing of Hayden Hackney, following an impressive 2025/26 season with Middlesbrough.
The 24-year-old played an important role in Middlesbrough’s run to the Championship play-off final, while his performances earned him the division’s Player of the Year award.
Hackney made more than 150 appearances for Middlesbrough and scored five goals in each of his last two Championship campaigns.
He also registered seven league assists last season, highlighting his ability to create opportunities as well as contribute defensively.
At Everton, Hackney is expected to add creativity, energy and quality to the midfield as the club prepares for the new Premier League season.
7. Gonzalo Garcia – Fulham
Fulham have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid, with the 22-year-old expected to take on a more prominent role during the 2026/27 Premier League season.
Garcia made 30 LaLiga appearances for Real Madrid last season and scored six goals, despite averaging just over 30 minutes per appearance.
He also made a strong start to the 2025/26 campaign, scoring four goals at the FIFA Club World Cup and showcasing his ability to make an impact in front of goal.
With Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez having departed Fulham, Garcia could be given significantly more responsibility in attack at Craven Cottage.
The move represents a major opportunity for the young forward to establish himself as an important player in the Premier League.
8. Victor Munoz – Liverpool
Spanish winger Victor Munoz has joined Liverpool after an impressive campaign with Osasuna, adding further attacking options to the squad ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season.
The 23-year-old, who previously developed through the Real Madrid system, is a versatile attacker capable of playing on either wing or operating through the middle.
His pace and adaptability could make him a valuable option for Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola, particularly when the team needs additional attacking energy.
Munoz scored six LaLiga goals last season from 5.8 expected goals (xG), showing his ability to consistently find scoring opportunities.
He has also begun making his mark at international level, having already earned two senior caps for Spain.
With his versatility, pace and growing experience, Munoz will be one of the new Premier League arrivals worth watching this season.
9. Bazoumana Toure – Newcastle United
Ivory Coast winger Bazoumana Toure has joined Newcastle United after an impressive spell in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a productive 2025/26 campaign, providing nine assists as Hoffenheim secured qualification for the UEFA Europa League.
Although Toure is naturally a left winger, his ability to operate in several attacking positions gives new Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle another versatile option in the final third.
Toure also gained valuable international experience at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, representing Ivory Coast as they progressed to the last 16.
With his pace, creativity and versatility, Toure could become an exciting addition to Newcastle’s attack and one of the young players to watch in the 2026/27 Premier League season.
10. Ousmane Diomande – Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest have strengthened their defence with the signing of Ousmane Diomande, one of Europe’s highly rated young defenders.
The 22-year-old Ivory Coast international arrives from Sporting Lisbon, where he played an important role in the club’s success, helping them win back-to-back Portuguese league titles in 2023/24 and 2024/25.
Diomande was also part of Sporting’s impressive run to the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, gaining valuable experience at the highest level of European football.
Forest chief football officer George Syrianos praised the defender’s qualities, describing him as a powerful and commanding player with a strong winning mentality.
With his physical strength, composure on the ball, passing ability and defensive intelligence, Diomande could become an important figure as Nottingham Forest begin a new chapter under head coach Oliver Glasner.
